Ruda and Władek wake up after spending the night together. Ruda tells Władek that they cannot be together. The doctor visits Wanda again and she recovers. Kugel boasts that his older son is coming from the front. He got a pass as a reward for destroying a Soviet tank. Krawiec informs the branch about plans for a new action to blow up the train station in Berlin. He asks the boys to persuade Lena to take part in the action. She knows best how to move in the territory of the Reich. Krawiec tells Michał and Władek that the command wants to use Maria’s presence in the governor’s house to obtain information. Michael tells his friends about his engagement. He invites them to a party. Brehm tells Rainer that after their visit to the warehouse, the gold is gone and Stock is paying another visit to Fischer. From the information gathered, it appears that Stock was Holtz’s superior, who robbed the Jews. Lena agrees to take part in the action at the station in Berlin. Bronek tells her about plans to take Wanda from Czerniejewo on the way back. Dieter’s son comes to visit Kugle. He immediately notices Zośka, who is kind to him. Aniela mocks that Kugel will sooner chase Zośka away with a whip than let her get closer to her son. Zośka does not care about Aniela’s comments or Wanda’s warnings that the Kugels are bad people. Officially, Zośka was kicked by a horse, but the injuries indicate a more brutal death. Wanda is terrified, seeing Kugel’s gaze on him.
