The KBW raid on Władek, Michał and their colleagues from the branch is in progress. After the unsuccessful action of rescuing Janisz from the hospital, the partisans are hiding in the village, where Colonel Jabłoński, commanding the action, arrives. The situation of the conspirators becomes more and more difficult. Rainer and Karkowski run into each other at the hotel. Karkowski receives an offer he cannot refuse. What Rainer does not know, however, is that he himself is closely watched by two mysterious types. Rainer and Celina’s mission is being screened by the communist services. Ruda tries to contact Maria, sends a secret message. Bronek joins Wanda in their new apartment in Otwock. They both try to rebuild confidence in each other. This is not made easier by Bronek’s still unfulfilled mission. Celina follows Błaszczyk, professor at the Polytechnic University, who has recently been contacted by Blachnitzky, whom she is looking for.
