D.B. Russell, a civilian specialist, transfers from Las Vegas to become the director of the newly created division of Next Generation Cyber Forensics. He joins Avery and her team as they track down the most dangerous cyber criminals, beginning with the hacking of a home security system that turns into a homicide investigation.
